A GREAT DAY OUT AT SEA!!

6 August 2013 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: medium to strong
Viz: 10m, murky
Sea Temp: 20 degrees Celsius

Southern Pinnacles: For the first part of the dive there was a strong current so although there were probably a lot of reef fish to see, it all went by pretty quickly and no sharks, so I was cursing thinking that Lisa had taken all the luck back to Cape Town with her. After 20 minutes the action started, 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark, then another and another. Well lets just say the next 40 minutes of the dive the Oceanic Blacktip sharks were in and out the whole time, with us seeing up to 3 at one time. We heard Whales for most of the dive and were so loud I was sure we would have a sighting, but not this time. Lots of interesting Plankton today. A GREAT DAY OUT AT SEA!!
