10 December 2015 | PROTEA BANKS
Current: mild
Viz: 7 – 10m
Sea Temp: 21 degrees Celsius
Southern Pinnacle: Well the day started off with the flattest sea I have seen in a long time. As we got to the the dive site we had Dolphins pop up next to the boat to say Hi. On the dive we were greeted by 2 HUGE Round Ribbonrail Rays, floating a few metres above the reef. A Zambezi (Bull) shark and a Hammerhead were also spotted. Then 2 more Round Ribbontail Rays (one was a cutie pie). We also had a Brindle Bass and a Potato Bass at the bottom. Lots of reef and gamefish also seen. In midwater we had 2 sets of shoaling Hammerhead sharks. Also a Zambezi (Bull) shark that kept on popping in and out. The viz was unfortunately a bit down otherwise I am sure we would have seen loads more.
