5 SPECIES OF SHARKS AND SOME RAYS PROTEA BANKS TODAY !!!

Sea Temp: 26 degrees top, 22 degrees Celsius bottom

DIVE 1 - Southern Pinnacle: As we got to the reef we had about 5 Eagle rays and a Potato Bass. We also had 2 Greater Hammerhead Sharks, at least 4 Guitar Sharks, Shoaling Dusky Sharks, 2 Oceanic Blacktip Sharks, and a Bull Sharks... Lots of gamefish all over. Mid water we had another Oceanic Blacktip shark and another Greater Hammerhead passed by.

DIVE 2 - Northern Pinnacle: On our way down to the caves we had 2 Zambezi (Bull) Sharks circling us. we had about 3 Potato Bass staying around, 2 Eagle rays and we had a Tiger Shark as we passed the second cave. Mid water we had another Tiger shark come up to us, had a look and made his way into the distance. We also had a Zambezi (Bull) Shark, a Greater Hammerhead and some Barracuda on our safety stop.

DIVE 1 - Southern Pinnacle: As we got to the reef we had 3 Potato Bass taking quite a bit of interest in us. We also had a Spotted Eagle Ray and 2 Guitar Sharks. Mid water we spotted a Zambezi (bull) Shark in the distance.

DIVE 2 - Northern Pinnacle: Over the first cave we had a Potato Bass just chilling around. Carried on with the ref and we had another 2 Spotted Eagle Rays and some massive gamefish all over. We also had a Potato Bass follow us around for our entire bottom time. A Brindle Bass also popped in to say hi.

BAITED SHARK DIVE IN PERFECT VISIBILITY!

DIVE 1 - Baited Shark Dive: Today we had 2 Oceanic Blacktip Sharks and 2 Zambezi (Bull) Sharks staying with us for the entire dive. A Potato Bass was circling on the bottom. Lots of Rainbow runners and Remora darting through.

DIVE 2 - Baited Shark Dive: An extension of the first baited dive ... action-packed with 4 Oceanic Blacktips sharks and 2 Bull (Zambezi) sharks.

THE WATER IS JUST GETTING WARMER AND MORE BLUE BY THE DAY!!!

Southern Pinnacles: We had a beautiful and relaxed dive with lots of reef fish all over. We also had an Eagle Ray glide past us and we spotted 2 Greater Hammerhead Sharks throughout the dive. All and all a great dive with comfortable conditions.

DIVE 1 - Baited Shark Dive: Today we had a Baby Tiger Shark come up to the drum!! We also had 2 Oceanic Blacktip Sharks and 2 Zambezi (Bull) Sharks circling the drum with a single Hammerhead Shark that passed by.
DIVE 2 - Baited Shark Dive: An extension of the first baited dive ... action-packed with 4 Oceanic Blacktips sharks and 3 Bull (Zambezi) sharks.
 

THE ULTIMATE BAITED SHARK DIVE

Baited Shark Dive: WOW what an incredible dive. An action packed dive with at 5 Zambezi (Bull) sharks and 2 Oceanic Blacktip sharks. Later on we had 100's of shoaling Hammerhead sharks.
 

BULL SHARK BAITED DIVE

Baited Shark Dive: WOW ... what a dive ... dropped into the water and already had 2 Bull (Zambezi) sharks waiting for us. Later on 2 Oceanic Blacktips sharks joined us. Then more Bull (Zambezi) sharks totaling 5 ... what so nice watching them on come onto the drum.

ACTION PACKED BAITED SHARK DIVE ON PROTEA BANKS

Viz: 15 - 20m, but more milky on second dive
Sea Temp:  26 degrees Celsius

DIVE 1 - Baited Shark Dive: An action packed dive with at least 3 Zambezi (Bull) sharks and 2 Oceanic Blacktip sharks. Shoaling Hammerhead sharks seen in the distance.

DIVE 2 - Southern Pinnacle: With a strong current we drifted quickly over the reef. Even though there were lots of reef fish and Kingfish, we really did not have mush time to take notice. Two sets of shoaling Hammerheads sharks were seen as well as an Oceanic Blactip shark.

Northern Pinnacle: With a strong current and perfect viz we got to enjoy the reef. A Potato Bass stayed with us for most of our bottom time. A sneaky Bull (Zambezi) popped up over the reef to say Hi. Midwater we were entertained by some Remora and just before we surfaced an Oceanic Blacktip shark popped into check out the divers.

STRONG CURRENTS ON PROTEA BANKS TODAY

Viz: Clean near surface but only 5 - 8m at bottom
Sea Temp: 25 degrees Celsius at the surface and 23 degrees Celsius at the bottom

Southern Pinnacle: With a strong current and reduced viz not so easy to see too much. 2 Round Ribbontail Rays were spotted on the bottom as well as some reef fish. Just off Sandshark Gully a Bull (Zambezi) shark was spotted ever so briefly.One of those dives where it was just nice to be in the water.

STRONG CURRENTS AND ELUSIVE SHARKS ON PROTEA BANKS TODAY

Northern Pinnacle: With a strong current we made our way to LaLaLand. On the way we had two friendly Potato Bass. On the way up we had an Oceanic Blacktip shark and a Zambezi (Bull) shark pop in briefly.

Some Rainbow Runners were swirling around us and a Remora kept us company for most of our time mid water. Great to be back in the water.

Viz: 10m midwater, 5 to 8m at the bottom
Sea Temp: 23 degrees Celsius

Northern Pinnacle: With a slight reverse current we landed on the first cave and worked our way to the second cave slowly. A Bull (Zambezi) shark was seen almost immediately. A massive Potato Bass was also seen and lots of reef fish. It was not the perfect dive with the viz not being great but the great company made the dive fun.

Northern Pinnacle: Was so great to be diving Protea Banks again. As we got to the bottom we were greeted by a TIGER SHARK. A Potato Bass found us very interesting and stayed with us for most of the dive. The dive was chilled with lots of reef fish. Mid water we took some time to enjoy the Plankton.

DIVE 1 - Baited Shark Dive: We had in total 4 Zambezi (Bull) sharks today with 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark darting in and out between them. A nice Bull shark dive!

DIVE 2 - Southern Pinnacle: Our drift dive was rather quiet, we tried for some Hammerhead sharks but unfortunately we didn't find even one. Otherwise we had many reef fish out and about on the reef.

REVERSE CURRENT TODAY TAKING US NEW PLACES

Sea Temp:  23 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius at the bottom

Southern Pinnacle: As we backwards rolled we come straight into a school of Yellowtail being targeted by fisherman. We had 4 Bull (Zambezi) sharks in straight away obviously all active due to stealing the fish from the fisherman. With us having a proper reverse but also a proper north east wind we were not able to tell it was a reverse until we were in the water. On the pinnacle head, we then drifted north showing us some reef and arch we don't get to normally see. We did have two Potato Bass follow us a bit while on the reef.

Sea Temp: 25 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius at the bottom

Northern Pinnacle: As we dropped in the water two big Bull (Zambezi )sharks and an Oceanic Blacktip shark were waiting to meet us. When we got into the colder water the sharks decided to stay in the warmer water and keep an eye of us. The reef was stunning today as we passed LaLaLand and we saw so so many reef and gamefish. On our multi level into the warmer water the sharks got really curious with the divers and we had non stop action from Bull and Oceanic Blacktip sharks circling us and coming in nice and close. 1 Hammerhead shark was spotted off to the side. What an epic 70 minute dive.

Baited Shark Dive: TIGER shark at the start stayed for 15 minutes. Also 2 Zambezi (Bull) sharks 2 Oceanic Blacktips. Very exciting dive.

Northern Pinnacle:  As we backwards rolled in and made it to the bottom we had 2 Bull (Zambezi) sharks come in and say hi. The reef being rather slow, we had few fish out and about but did have another Bull shark and 1 Oceanic Blacktip come in.

'SHOALING TIGER SHARKS’ AND MORE!

Sea Temp: 24 degrees Celsius on the reef and 23 degrees Celsius at bottom

DIVE 1 - Southern Pinnacle: The reef was stunning today and as we got down we had a very inquisitive Potato Bass. Shoaling Kingfish were seen all over today. On the reef we also has 2 Eagle Rays. On Kingfish Gully a lonesome Hammerhead shark passed overhead. Very chilled.

DIVE 2 - Southern Pinnacle: Chilled drift dive with 1 Zambezi (Bull), 1 school Hammerhead sharks at Kingfish Gully and the odd Hammerhead.
Large school of Tuba and a Potato Bass.

DIVE 3 - Northern Pinnacle: Got down and almost immediately had 3 TIGER sharks just chilling together. It looked like they were having a meeting. Soon after we had a Bull (Zambezi) shark. The reef was stunning. Midwater we had a Bull and Oceanic Blacktip shark entertaining us.
