Round Ribbontail Rays around.

Current: very strong
Viz: 10m - very 'snowy', lots of Plankton
Sea Temp: 24 degrees Celsius

Northern Pinnacles: 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark that popped in mid water. 3 Potato Bass. A few Round Ribbontail Rays. Not many fish today, but good to be in the water again after an extended break ... and still NO FLIPPIN MARLIN ON KYM'S DIVE.

DIVE 1 - Northern Pinnacles: Whoop, whoop a MARLIN today. Also a Potato Bass and lots of reef fish.

DIVE 2 - Southern Pinnacles - THE ARCH: A Great Hammerhead shark, 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark and 7 Guitar sharks. Pretty dive.

Southern Pinnacles: 7 Guitar sharks, 2 Round Ribbontail Rays and 1 Brindle Bass. A HUGE shoal of Kingfish and lots of reef fish. Dolphins and a Marlin seen from the boat.

Southern Pinnacles: A Hammerhead shark and a Round Ribbontail Ray. So nice to see 2 Turtles. Lots of reef fish.

DIVE 1 - Northern Pinnacles: 2 Potato Bass. HUGE shoals of gamefish all over - pretty EPIC.  Lots of reef fish. 

DIVE 2 - Northern Pinnacles: 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark. Lots of gamefish and reef fish - Awesome!!!

The viz had cleared up and the water was warm. GREAT DIVING TODAY!!!!

No sharks today ... sad face.

Southern Pinnacles: Lets just say we dived. Reverse current and some reef. So much Plankton looked like it was snowing! ... and that was it ...

Viz: clear at bottom but very milky mid water
Sea Temp: 25 degrees Celsius near surface but freezing at bottom

Southern Pinnacles: With the current pulling inshore and reverse, we just managed to stay on the reef. Saw 1 Round Ribbontail Ray and reef alive with your smaller reef fish. 1 Remora and lots of Plankton mid water. We got wet, let just leave it there ...

DIVE 1 - Northern Pinnacles: What an amazing day to be in the water!!! At least 3 Bull (Zambezi) sharks popping in and out throughout the dive. A brief encounter with a TIGER shark in the distance. 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark. 1 Brindle Bass. 3 Potato Bass. The dive was so amazing we did not even have time to look at the reef fish - dive really EPIC!!!!!

DIVE 2 - Southern Pinnacles: 1 TIGER shark that came in close and circled us. 1 Bull (Zambezi)shark popping in and out. 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark. 1 Potato Bass. REALLY GOOD DIVE!!!

DIVE 1 - Northern Pinnacles: 5 TIGER sharks. 4 Bull (Zambezi) sharks. 3 Oceanic Blacktip sharks and 1 Dusky shark. 1 Round Ribbontail Ray. 3 Potato Bass. Lots of shoals of Tropical Amberjack and Tuna. Plenty reef fish. EPIC DIVE!!!!!!. I quote: 'Better than a baited ... hands down'!!!!

DIVE 2 - Northern Pinnacles: 2 TIGER sharks and 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark. Viz had dropped a lot.

DIVE 2 - Northern Pinnacles: 4 Bull (Zambezi) sharks and 3 Oceanic Blacktip sharks. 1 BIG friendly Potato Bass. Lots of reef fish. STUNNING DIVE!!!!

Have not seen the sea so flat for a long time!!!

Southern Pinnacles (THE ARCH): 8 Hammerhead sharks. 1 Round Ribbontail Ray. 7 Spotted Eagle Rays. At least 2 Oceanic Blacktip sharks that popped in and out for at least 30 minutes. Reef just incredible. WOW ... WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY TO BE IN THE WATER!!!

EPIC DIVING ON PROTEA BANKS!!

Current: strong - 'PROTEA EXPRESS'
Viz: 25m+, with a bit of Plankton
Sea Temp: 24 degrees Celsius

DIVE 1 - Southern Pinnacles: Action from beginning to end. Dropped onto an Oceanic Blacktip shark. Then Bull (Zambezi) and and Oceanic Blacktip sharks kept us entertained throughout the dive. Also a couple of Greater Hammerhead sharks popping in. Also some Guitar sharks, Round Ribbontail Rays and Eagle Rays. We also had a big shoal of Rainbow Runners. Also a Giant Barracuda - a nice random sighting. Reef full up with reef fish. What a day to be in the water. Totally EPIC dive!!!!!

DIVE 2 - Southern Pinnacles: Action from beginning to end, this time even more sightings of Oceanic Blacktip sharks and Bull (Zambezi) sharks. At one stage had 4 massive Bull sharks with us, they came in so close - breathtaking. Plus some more Greater Hammerhead sharks, Guitar sharks, Round Ribbontail Rays and Eagle Rays. Also a Potato Bass and a nice sighting of 2 Brindle Bass for a change. Huge shoal of Bigeye Kingfish. Reef alive and a 80 minute dive of pure action.

WOW, some days I love my job even more!!!!
