21 February 2015 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: strong
Viz: 15m+, grey
Sea Temp: 23 degrees Celsius

Southern Pinnacles: So as we got out to Protea Banks we already had Dolphins on the surface so we knew it is going to be a good dive. As we got to the bottom we saw an Oceanic Blacktip shark followed by a Zambezi (Bull) shark. We then had a few more sighting of these sharks. I then saw some shoaling gamefish and amongst them were several Hammerhead sharks ... pretty EPIC. We also had 2 Round Ribbontail Rays at the bottom and as we were coming up an Eagle Ray. Also a Potato Bass. There were all your usual reef fish and some Kob at the bottom. From mid water to the end of the dive all the action stopped but we had some pretty cool Plankton to keep us busy. Really great dive and great to be in the water again

MILD CURRENT ... GOOD DIVE ON PROTEA BANKS!!!
