NORTHERN PINNACLES: So on the way out to PROTEA BANKS there were Humpback Whales all over. When you start your day like this, you know you are in for a good dive.
The current was very strong and we made it to the second cave. There must have been at least 10 Ragged-tooth sharks in the cave. As we left the cave we were met by 2 Potato Bass. After that we saw a BIG Zambezi (Bull) shark and a TIGER SHARK.
Coming up was insane, we had Oceanic Blacktip sharks all around us, at least 6 and the stayed with us right to the end of the dive, which lasted 70 minutes. There were also at least 2 Zambezi (Bull) sharks around as well but they stayed a bit deeper. It seemed like we were on a baited dive, there was so much action. In mid water there was a quick sighting of a Hammerhead shark!
AND THEN … as I looked to my side A FRIGGIN MASSIVE HUMPBACK WHALE… just cruising next to us … OMG … WHAT AN INSANE EXPERIENCE … getting to swim right next to a HUMPBACK WHALE ON SCUBA.
We also had a HUGE Jellyfish and lots of Plankton. With flat seas and endless Whale sighting, I am so glad I decided to dive today!!
