Current: medium
Viz: 8m (overcast so reduced viz and lots of Plankton)
Sea Temp: 20 degrees Celsius
So on arriving at the dive site we were met by Dolphins again.
DIVE 1 – BAITED SHARK DIVE: Had a really good baited shark dive today with at least 6 Oceanic Blacktip sharks, a couple of Dusky sharks and 2 (Bull) Zambezi sharks. The viz was not fantastic but the action was non stop … whoop, whoop. It was great to be on a baited shark dive again.
DIVE 2 – Southern Pinnacles: A big shoal of Kob at the bottom, then nothing and more of nothing … BUT 33 minutes later all the action started. Oceanic Blacktip sharks, Dusky sharks and (Bull) Zambezi sharks popping in and out, pretty much like our early morning baited dive, just without the bait … really cool. At the end of the dive we were all frozen, but well worth being in the water.
Some Humpback Whales seen from the boat and we could hear them underwater.
Sea conditions got very rough as day went on.
