EPIC … SECOND DIVE ON PROTEA … REEF DIVE BUT LIKE A BAITED!!!

9 April 2016 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: medium to strong
Viz: 10m (a bit more grey on the second dive)
Sea Temp: 24 degrees Celsius top, 22 degrees Celsius bottom

DIVE 1 – SOUTHERN PINNACLE: On the reef we at least 5 Eagle Rays, 4 Round Ribbontail Rays and a Zambezi (Bull) shark. Also a HUGE shoal of Bigeye Kingfish. Mid water we had a quick sighting of an Oceanic Blacktip shark and then a Dusky shark hanging around on the safety stop.

DIVE 2 – NORTHERN PINNACLE: Lots of Potato Bass on the bottom and then 2 TIGER SHARKS. Also a Zambezi (Bull) shark on the bottom. Mid water was like a friggin baited dive. The sharks just started coming and we ended up with a least 5 Zambezi (Bull) and 5 Oceanic Blacktip sharks around us all the time. In actual fact at times I though I might be on the menu … lol. It was incredible WOW, WOW, WOW. What a friggin amazing dive!!!!!!!!
