DIVE 1 – Southern Pinnacles: 14 schools of Hammerhead sharks, 1 Bull (Zambezi) shark and about 40 Dusky sharks all swimming along with the Hammerhead sharks. On the reef we had all the usual pretty reef fish including 2 Potato Bass, 5 Round Ribbontail Rays. We also had plenty red eye sardine and Kingfish. At the end of the dive Kyle got his bottle out and attracted at least 30 Dusky sharks and the dive group had good sightings snorkeling with the Dusky sharks. Great fun and excellent diving.
DIVE 2 – Southern Pinnacles ( THE ARCH): So when Suresh comes back from the first dive and tells me it is unbelievable, begs me for a second dive and tells me I better be on it … I have no choice but to bunk work to satisfy a divers request … after all at Aqua Planet we are known for our customer service … hehe. AND boy did the dive live up to expectations. 1000’s of Hammerhead sharks seen in the first 20 minutes … actually in the end did not even know where to look. On safety stop had more than 10 Dusky sharks – felt a bit like a baited dive. Also 1 Round Ribbontail Ray by the arch. 1 Potato Bass. Reef pretty with lots of fish but no time to have a look, just too many sharks. WHOOP, WHOOP … BOUNCE, BOUNCE … WHAT A FRIGGIN INCREDIBLE DIVE!
IF YOU WERE NOT IN THE WATER TODAY, YOU HAVE TRULY MISSED OUT ON AN UNBELIEVABLE DAY OF DIVING!!!
