Current: strong
Viz: 15 – 20m (water clean but milky)
Sea Temp: 23 degrees Celsius
DIVE 1 – Southern Pinnacle: On our way down we had an Oceanic Blacktip shark pop into say Hi. At the bottom the current was strong. We had a HUGE shoal of Bigeye Kingfish. Lots of reef fish but seen very quickly. Just before our ascent we had another Oceanic Blacktip. Mid water we had 2 Zambezi (Bull) sharks pop in. From midwater all the way to the surface we had Rainbow Runners around us.
DIVE 2 – BAITED SHARK DIVE: The wind had picked up so we decided to get into the water soon after dropping the drum. For the first 5 minutes there was absolutely nothing, which made me think of Bradley James. No sooner had I had that thought, 2 Zambezi (Bull) sharks were spotted, and then another and then another … IT WAS INSANE. At least 7 Zambezi (Bull) sharks behaving like Oceanic Blacktips, all over the drum, in between the divers and fighting … EPIC. We also saw two Oceanic Blacktip sharks, but even they kept their distance when they saw the ‘unruly’ Zambezi sharks. Also lots of Rainbow Runners around and a few Remora. WHAT AN EPIC ENERGISED DIVE … WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!
Dolphins and Flying Fish seen from the boat.
