13 June 2015 | PROTEA BANKS
Current: strong
Viz: 15 – 20m (a bit milky)
Sea Temp: 22 degrees Celsius
Northern Pinnacles: As we dropped in the viz was great, a good start to an EPIC dive. We managed to get to the second cave which had about 10 Ragged-tooth sharks inside. The current was pulling and we saw a Potato Bass and some reef fish. As we got into mid water the non stop 40 minute action started with a mixture of Zambezi (Bull) sharks, Hammerhead sharks and Oceanic Blacktip sharks popping and and out the dive … WOW, stunning dive and great to Hammerheads for a change.
Just before we got into the water two Humpback Whales popped up right next to the boat.
With flat sea, great viz and warm water … WOW, WOW, WOW … WHAT A DAY TO DIVE!!!
