14 November 2014 | PROTEA BANKS
Current: medium
Viz: 10 – 15m and then only 5m on the second dive
Sea Temp: 18 degrees Celsius at the bottom
DIVE 1 – Southern Pinnacles: As we dropped in there was a Tiger shark sighting. The reef was alive with reef and gamefish. Then a Hammerhead shark was seen, there were probably more but viz was not amazing. Also a Potato Bass and an Eagle Ray. Then a HUGE pod of Dolphins came right up to the divers … EPIC. On the way up a Bull (Zambezi) shark popped in to say Hi.
DIVE 2 – Southern Pinnacles: The viz had dropped down to about 5m … eeeeek. Not too much too see but at the end of the dive 2 Oceanic Blacktip sharks came in.
The wind started blowing and sea conditions got very rough.
