AND THEN THERE WAS PLANKTON!

24 March 2015 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: strong
Viz: 5 – 8m (water clean bit no viz due to so much Plankton the water)
Sea Temp: 22 degrees Celsius

Southern Pinnacles: So after the mind blowing few days on Protea Banks, I must admit that today was a bit of a damp squib. The current was strong and the water was full of Plankton which really reduced the visibility. 1 big Zambezi (Bull) shark seen by only me at the bottom. In mid water there was a very brief encounter with another shark. Also a big shoal of Bonito. Some reef fish as well, but current to strong to take much notice.

On the up side the sea was soooooooooooo flat toady!
