DIVE 1 – Southern Pinnacle: First dive on south was rather slow on the reef, seeing only 1 Bull (Zambezi) shark and some reef fish. A Tiger was spotted just before Sandshark Gully. As we made it to Sandshark Gully we could see at least 10 scattered all over the patch. As we started with our multi level up the Hammerhead sharks starting coming through, seeing a few small pockets and at least 2 schools. With our Bull sharks definitely showing up more and giving more interest, we had 2 Bull sharks come right up to us while sitting at about 15m.
DIVE 2 – Southern Pinnacle: So we had decided to go south again but instead of focusing on the first bit of the reef we wanted some more time at Sandshark Gully. In the end we dropped on The Arch cutting our reef in half. At The Arch, we had some good amounts of fish sitting out the current and 1 Potato Bass. On the bottom, we had 1 Bull (Zambezi) shark right away. As we drifted on and towards Sandshark Gully we had only 1 Guitar shark there but he was a BIG boy! On the edge of the sand patch we had 6 Eagle Rays and a few Ribbontail Rays. As we began our multi-level up, we once again had a few good sighting of Hammerhead sharks. On this dive I would say we saw about 6 schools of Hammerheads as well as smaller pockets scattered. 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark spotted.
