Current: strong
Viz: 8m, lots of Plankton
Sea Temp: 21 degrees Celsius
Southern Pinnacle: As we came down there were so so so many gamefish, mainly Tuna. The reef was so full of reef fish and we kept on seeing big shoals of gamefish … pretty cool. Also had a Round Ribbontail Ray. The shark action was not like the past few days but we still had some Oceanic Blacktip sharks popping in and out. Also several Hammerhead sharks popping in and out, and a smaller shoal of Hammerhead sharks seen. The last part of the dive was very quiet … but lots of interesting Plankton to keep us busy. Also could hear the sound of Whales.
From the boat there was probably just as much action .. lol. Lots of Humpback Whales seen. Also some Flying fish. And gamefish bubbling out of the water.
On the way back, Jaco suddenly turned the boat … shouted I think it is Marlin and before I new it I had jumped in the water and got up close to TWO SAILFISH …. oh my golly gosh … after the initial fear of wondering if I was going to get impaled … I had the most magical moment with the SAILFISH … a first for me … and perfect timing … on my birthday!!!!
