DIVE 1 – Southern Pinnacle: As we got in the water we already had 3 Oceanic Blacktip sharks circling us. On the reef we had a big shoal of Bigeye Kingfish come by. Mid water we had Oceanic Blacktip sharks, Copper sharks and Hammerhead sharks popping in and out and a small shoal of Hammerhead sharks come by.
DIVE 2 – Northern Pinnacle: As we got to the reef we had a small TIGER shark pass us by. We then got to the second cave, which was filled to the brim with Ragged-tooth sharks and I had a Potato Bass watching me. As we were come up we had lots and lots of shoaling Hammerhead sharks passing and when were were not looking at Hammerhead sharks, we had Zambezi (Bull) sharks and Oceanic Blacktip sharks popping in and out. A BIG shoal of Tuna and Rainbow Runners came past and we had a remora pop in.
Sea flat and sun shining … what a wonderful day at sea. AND Hilary Jenkins you saw 6 species of sharks today … guess no camera for further trips to Protea Banks.
Southern Right and Humpback Whales seen from the boat. Also Hammerheads sharks and flying fish seen from the boat.
