Current: mild
Viz: 15 – 20m (less viz mid water)
Sea Temp: 20 degrees Celsius
Northern Pinnacle: So the dive started off pretty good with lots of Ragged-tooth sharks on the bottom, leading to the first cave. We managed to get a few shark teeth as well. Also spotted an Oceanic Blacktip shark above the cave. We then had more Ragged-tooth sharks at the bottom (must have seen more than 40+ altogether) and a Potato Bass. Also saw a Crown of Thorns on the ridge and lots of fish.
In mid water we started picking up Oceanic Blacktip sharks, that ended up staying with us for the entire dive – at the end of the dive we had at least 5 flying in and out. Also a Zambezi (Bull) shark and a Potato Bass hanging around underneath us. Lots of Bonito and False Fusiliers around.
While we were chilling out mid water and having a look at the Oceanic Blacktip sharks a HUMPBACK WHALE also decided to come flying past us … whoop, whoop, whoop!!! What can I say, it was well worth getting out my warm bed for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sea flat, Humpback Whales and Flying fish seen from the boat!
I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!
