Monday morning blues? … Well not if you were diving PROTEA BANKS TODAY! MIND BLOWING DIVES AND BEYOND!

6 May 2013 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: medium
Viz: 30m+, top to bottom
Sea Temp: 24 degrees Celsius

DIVE 1 – BAITED SHARK DIVE: Where does one start? … we had 1 HUGE Tiger shark that stayed with us for the whole dive. Then 10 to 14 Oceanic Blacktip sharks, popping in and out (sorry so much action, hard to keep an exact tab). And if this was not enough we had 4 Bull (Zambezi) sharks grace us with their presence. Also Bonito popping on and off the bait drum.

So if this didn’t get your attention, the wait on the boat between a double tank, produced 2 big pods of Dolphins and well as a False Killer Whale.

DIVE 2 – Southern Pinnacles: Another HUGE Tiger shark and 3 Bull (Zambezi) sharks at the bottom. Then 2 Eagle Rays and a Potato Bass. Then a HUGE MANTA RAY just to add a bit more flavour. The reef was alive with reef fish and also a big shoal of Bonito. Bored yet … well the safety stop wasn’t boring, we had 7 Oceanic Blacktip sharks and another 4 Bull (Zambezi) sharks.

WHAT A DAY … and yes the time has come for all of you reading this to finally quit your jobs … unless of course you work for Aqua Planet Dive Centre and Charter!
