7 March 2015 | PROTEA BANKS
Current: strong
Viz: 15m+, but milky
Sea Temp: 22 degrees Celsius
DIVE 1 – Southern Pinnacles: Strong current so it cleared up the viz on the dive and we could see again. The Pinnacle Ridge was full up with reef fish and on Kingfish gully, there were … Kingfish. All seen a bit quickly due to current. In total we had 3 Zambezi (Bull) sharks and 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark. 1 Round Ribbontail Ray. Lots of interesting Plankton on the safety stop. Nice dive!
DIVE 2 – BAITED SHARK DIVE: 3 Zambezi (Bull) sharks, only 2 stayed for the entire dive. 1 Oceanic Blacktip shark. Some Tuna.
All in all a great day on Protea Banks!
