PROTEA BANKS … GREAT DIVING TODAY!!!!

8 July 2015 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: medium
Viz: 10 – 15m
Sea Temp: 21 degrees Celsius

DIVE 1 – Northern Pinnacle: We dropped and had a Potato Bass and lots of ‘fishes’. The first cave was overflowing with Ragged-tooth sharks. Also got to the second cave and it was overflowing with Ragged-tooth sharks – we must have seen over 50 Ragged-tooth sharks. As we started to multi level up we had 100’s of False Fusiliers flying past. Mid water we had at least 2 Zambezi (Bull) sharks and 5 Oceanic Blacktip sharks in and out for the rest of the dive. Also some Rainbow Runners seen. A really good dive!!!

A few Humpback Whales also seen from the boat!

DIVE 2 – BAITED SHARK DIVE: At least 4 Zambezi (Bull) sharks and 2 Oceanic Blacktip sharks with us for most of the dive.

Some Humpback Whales seen from the boat.

All in all a good day to be diving Protea Banks!
