REVERSE CURRENT TODAY TAKING US NEW PLACES

11 January 2021 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: reverse
Viz: 20m midwater and about 15m at the bottom
Sea Temp:  23 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius at the bottom

Southern Pinnacle: As we backwards rolled we come straight into a school of Yellowtail being targeted by fisherman. We had 4 Bull (Zambezi) sharks in straight away obviously all active due to stealing the fish from the fisherman. With us having a proper reverse but also a proper north east wind we were not able to tell it was a reverse until we were in the water. On the pinnacle head, we then drifted north showing us some reef and arch we don’t get to normally see. We did have two Potato Bass follow us a bit while on the reef.
