SHARKS, SHARKS AND MORE SHARKS … HIL AND LINDA CAN NEVER CLAIM NO SHARKS ON PROTEA :)

28 September 2020 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: none
Viz: 20m at the bottom, 10 midwater
Sea Temp: 20 degrees Celsius

Northern Pinnacle: Wow what dive!!!!! We came down onto the first cave, with more than 100 Ragged-tooth sharks scattered all around like stepping stones, there was no need to even go to the cave. There was no current so we just chilled around the cave. Had a TIGER shark come cruising past on the outskirts. Soon after we saw a shoal of Hammerhead sharks, with an Oceanic Blacktip shark thinking he was one of them. Then another shoal of Hammerhead sharks with a TIGER shark cruising just underneath them. On the outskirts of the Ragged-tooth sharks, a Bull (Zambezi) shark passed by. As Kyle was ascending he saw a Mako shark. Midwater we had a Copper and an Oceanic Blacktip shark pop in. What an UNBELIEVABLE dive and to think all these sharks with Hil and Linda on on the dive. 🙂

Humpback Whales seen breaching from the boat and heard underwater.
