Current: medium
Viz: 10m (verrrrrrrrrry milky, very strange viz)
Sea Temp: 23 degrees Celsius
DIVE 1 – Southern Pinnacles: So with the very strange viz (the water is clean but cloudy), it took awhile for my eyes to adjust. Lots of reef fish around and about 8 sightings of Oceanic Blacktip sharks popping in and out of the dive. And then there they were our Hammerhead sharks. I only managed to see 2 very close, Suresh said he saw about 7 in total, not many and hard to see with the viz, but good to know they are still around.
DIVE 2 – BAITED SHARK DIVE: The action started very quickly and we got in 3 Bull (Zambezi) sharks straight away and they stayed with us for the entire dive. We also has at least 5 Oceanic Blacktip sharks. As we got in the water to bait a huge school of Dolphins come past on while we were on scuba. I also saw a random Tuna. Great dive.
Lots of Humpback Whales seen from the boat as well as a little ‘baba’ breaching. Also had a huge of pod of Dolphins that came past the boat just before the baited dive. Lots of flying fish today.
Great to be out at sea.
