ZAM’s, ZAM’s AND ZAM’s … AND MORE ZAM’s ON PROTEA BANKS!!!

12 February 2015 | PROTEA BANKS

Current: very strong
Viz: 10 to 15m, dirtier at bottom
Sea Temp: 24 degrees Celsius near surface, 20 degrees Celsius on bottom

DIVE 1 – BAITED SHARK DIVE: The action started as soon a we put the drum in the water with 2 Zambezi (Bull) sharks arriving immediately. By the end of the dive we had 5 Zambezi (Bull) sharks … pretty awesome display. An Oceanic Blacktip shark also popped in very briefly. Some Tuna action also with them flying in and out of the dive.

DIVE 2 – Southern Pinnacles: The viz was dirty at the bottom and it was much colder. The current was very strong so we ‘flew’ over the reef. From mid water up we has at least 6 Zambezi (Bull) sharks coming in and out of the dive. Not too shabby.

What a day for ZAM’s on Protea Banks.
